The policies below outline what we accept, how trade values are determined, and what responsibilities apply when items are left with us for evaluation.

What We Buy

We do not buy broken consoles or loose discs, and we do not offer console repairs or refurbished systems.

Trading Card Games

We buy singles and bulk for:

  • Pokémon

  • Magic: The Gathering

  • One Piece

  • Riftbound

We’re always interested in:

  • Competitive staples

  • Popular set cards

  • Bulk in clean, sleeveable condition

Cards are evaluated using current market data and trusted pricing tools. Condition, rarity, and demand all factor into final offers.

Comics, Manga & Graphic Novels

We buy:

  • Single issues

  • Trade paperbacks

  • Manga volumes

  • Graphic novels

Condition matters. Clean, complete books receive the best offers. Items with missing pages, mold, or severe damage may be declined.

Condition Requirements

Video Games

  • Must load and play correctly

  • Must be complete (case and artwork when applicable)

  • No loose discs

  • No cracked or severely damaged cases

Consoles

  • Must power on and function normally

  • Must include required cables

  • No missing or broken components

Trading Cards

  • No severe bends, water damage, or heavy wear

  • Bulk must be reasonably clean and organized

Comics & Manga

  • No missing pages

  • No water damage or mold

  • Light wear is acceptable

How Trade-Ins Work (Simple 3-Step Process)

1. Bring your items in

Walk-ins are welcome during business hours. No appointment needed.

2. We check condition & demand

Items are reviewed based on condition, completeness, demand, and current inventory needs.

3. Choose Your Payout

  • Store credit offers are always higher

  • Cash is available for most items

Trade values may vary. Final Boss reserves the right to decline any item that does not meet our standards.

Trade Values & Offers

Trading Cards

  • Card-for-Card Trades: 80%

  • Store Credit: 70%

  • Cash Offers: 60%

Graded Cards

  • Grade 10: 80%

  • Grade 9: 60%

We currently accept Pokémon graded cards only. Grades below 9 are not accepted unless vintage.

Video Games & Consoles

  • Store Credit: 60%

  • Cash Offers: 40%

NOTE: Trade percentages are fixed and non-negotiable. All trades and buys are subject to staff approval.

Items Left for Evaluation & Abandonment Policy

Items left with Final Boss for trade evaluation, valuation, or follow-up are stored as a courtesy.

  • Once a quote has been completed, we will attempt to contact the customer using the information provided.

  • Responsibility for follow-up and pickup remains with the customer.

  • If 30 days pass after contact has been made with no response, the items will be considered abandoned.

  • Abandoned items become forfeit and property of Final Boss and may be sold, traded, or otherwise disposed of at our discretion.

This policy aligns with Virginia state law regarding abandoned property and standard resale industry practices.

Final Boss is not responsible for items left beyond the 30-day response period.

Staff Discretion

Final Boss reserves the right to:

  • Refuse service

  • Decline trades

  • Adjust offers

  • Limit quantities

  • End evaluations

These decisions are made to maintain fairness, safety, and healthy inventory flow for the community.
